Hipster places serving hipster food? Bring it on. Let’s class it up, dress up and eat up!
If you’re looking for a chillaxing place for brunch on the weekends or even taking a break after a long day at the office, here’s one place you wouldn’t want to miss on. With a hipster interior and ambience, making hipsters feel right at home. Though we prefer the Woodpecker in Panglima Polim since it’s got better lighting (trés important for instagrammable moments) and cuter spots which is ideal if you like to take pics of food with a nice background, even if the food ends up as the center of attention. Here, the seating option to choose from is: (1) outside (harsh lighting) or (2) inside (airconned, yet slightly darker). Look at us, talking like a lighting expert. Like we know what we’re talking about. We don’t, by the way.
Plain waffle with honey
Very yummy and soft, with a little whipped cream served on top. Perks of being a food blogger: too excited to take this beautiful waffle so the food got cold. :’) Yes, those are happy tears. Happy we got the shot we wanted but wished we ate it earlier. The simple taste actually elevates the flavour! There is beauty in simplicity.
If you are on a vegetarian diet yet still want to have some quality time enjoying life and food, this is the veggiest menu we can recommend for you. Or, if you just happen to like almond milk that is, go ahead and order this. It tastes “healthy” so what do you expect? We guaranteed healthiness we did not say anything about deliciousness. The sugar is separated, so if you don’t need a little sweetness in your life? No, please. Just need a little love and a little sympathy? That’s perfectly alright.
Toblerone hot choc
Now this, right here is one of their specialties. The reason we wanted to try this interesting café. You pour warm milk on top of the toblerone and voila! Wait for the magic to happen as the toblerone blends perfectly with the milk. It tastes warm, comforting and generally just gives you a nice feeling as if you’re enjoying this by the fireside on a cold winter enjoying the first snowfall. Eventhough it is usually almost always burning hot in Jakarta and there is no snow, just dandruff if you don’t wash your hair properly. Look at us, a food blog talking about dandruff. Good job! We’d definitely recommend this if you enjoy sweet drinks.
