We’re going to the furtherst side of Central Java today: Blora! Today we will be talking about a particular snack from a bakery that has made us go crazy. We just keep wanting more!

Kroket is an Indonesian traditional snack filled with potatoes that has been mashed thoroughly with a few vegetables tossed in and a texture that would make you die for more.

That chewy goodness that dissolves the minute you eat it just makes you want to eat a dozen of these by yourself. Tastes best when it is still warm. Do come here before 9 am if you want a piece of these bad boys, otherwise you’d have to come back another day.

Also a little side note, rumour has it that the owner of this bakery is very meticulous in the process so when the employees roll a piece that is either too small or too big, the owner will make them redo it until it fits the standard. No wonder it tastes super delicious! Fine crafted art in snack form right here.
